It’s moody quality techno pop time. Been listening to Superpitchers new album Kilimanjaro a lot the last few. Now the Rabbits in a Hurry got their video. It’s more trying to be art than a virtual virus, decide 4 self if it is.

Anyways, the music comes first so I’ll give you the streaming player of the album before the video. You can stream the whole album or down it for 10 euros. The single with the hurrying rabbits is track number four and perhaps my favorite off the album. Not to say the rest wouldnt be worth a listen or two. Kilimanjaro by colognes Superpitcher was rescently released on Kompakt.

Chase & Status‘ new single Let You Go featuring Mali, just released (August 15th). Nice one. Radio friendly and still quality stuff, all good. Let You Go is the first single from the new and yet to be titled second album by Saul Milton and Will Kennard.

Next to the original version youll be gettin some Doppelgängers on the album, namingly the Nero Remix, Brookes Brothers Remix, the Feed Me Remix and the Chase & Status VIP Remix. We got you at least three of the version. Nero‘s dubstep version kicks ass.

The video is nice too. Just that the story is lacking surprises. I dont know about the talk-show-host-sex-scandal history in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, but us here, in Germany, we had us some. I remember one at least: dude that was supposed to have forced a chick to suck his little co-host. Came out she just made all of that up, I belive. Dude’s career was destroyed anyways.

Whatever, to get back to the point: yea, the dude in the video is a hypocrite. Most self-centred sermonizers are, especially the ones on TV. So actually a good portrayel of guys like him. But: I understood that at the beginning, what about some turning points?

But then..: done see enough wanna be LA Crash-meets-Memento movies. So I guess: good idea by the guy who did the video.

Oh, and then I learned the guy in the video is a portrayel of british talk show host Jeremy Kyle. So perhaps it’s just a funny diss video only islanders understand. Do a Kraut version with our dick suck rapist then! Story had some incredible turning points!

On thursday Electronic Beats Cologne took place with appearances by Moderat, Major Lazer, Kele of Bloc Party, Miike Snow, Turboweekend and Little Dragon. We saw the last three shows, Kele, Moderat and Major Lazer. All three ways of playing electronic music live known to mankind.

Bloc Partys Kele had a live band with him.  We tried to smoke cigarettes without being caught by the babyfaced security boy more than once every 15 minutes.

Than Moderat (=Modeselektor + Apparat) entered. Fucking great show. The three guys arraied like our funky neighbours Kraftwerk on stage with a perfectly done video installation behind them. The hip audience stood there nodding and posting Tweets while Moderat performed some chilled out quality music which had its highlights when some dubstep basslines kicked in. What does the hipster do when he flaps his notebook at night? He watches guys doing music on their laptops with a video installation in the back. Tweeting! Yeah. So cool to be uncool, guys. Ah yeah: I had a steak bun with mustard and ketchup.

After all that quality, Diplo took the stage. Without Swift, but escorted by to fine ass dancers and one crazy ass Skerrit Bwoy. Diplo played a funky CD, pushing buttons to it that made lazer noises. Skerrit Bwoy rocked the stage, dry fucking the dancer and throwing rubber pets in the audience. During the final, Diplo put on Major Lazer‘s latest song and Skerrit Bwoy tried to break the worl record for highest stage dive, breaking somebody hand instead. That’s 2:04 in the video. My celly got thrown to the ground by some rubber dragon that we wrestled down and took home afterwards. Helluva show. Loved it.

Ah there would be a forth way to perform electronic music live: DJing. But that doesnt count as “live” I guess. So you need yourself a band, videoinstallations and midi controllers or a bad ass hype man. No enjoy your weekend kids, class is closed.

While I was looking for some partys to go to I found the new Uffie video: Pop The Glock. Yeah, right. The song was her first single and is out since 2006. The video was released october, 3rd 2009.

Nice one, I like it. Like watching american football in a uk style pub in the middle of manhattan drinking Brooklyn Lager.
