It’s moody quality techno pop time. Been listening to Superpitchers new album Kilimanjaro a lot the last few. Now the Rabbits in a Hurry got their video. It’s more trying to be art than a virtual virus, decide 4 self if it is.

Anyways, the music comes first so I’ll give you the streaming player of the album before the video. You can stream the whole album or down it for 10 euros. The single with the hurrying rabbits is track number four and perhaps my favorite off the album. Not to say the rest wouldnt be worth a listen or two. Kilimanjaro by colognes Superpitcher was rescently released on Kompakt.

Chase & Status‘ new single Let You Go featuring Mali, just released (August 15th). Nice one. Radio friendly and still quality stuff, all good. Let You Go is the first single from the new and yet to be titled second album by Saul Milton and Will Kennard.

Next to the original version youll be gettin some Doppelgängers on the album, namingly the Nero Remix, Brookes Brothers Remix, the Feed Me Remix and the Chase & Status VIP Remix. We got you at least three of the version. Nero‘s dubstep version kicks ass.

The video is nice too. Just that the story is lacking surprises. I dont know about the talk-show-host-sex-scandal history in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, but us here, in Germany, we had us some. I remember one at least: dude that was supposed to have forced a chick to suck his little co-host. Came out she just made all of that up, I belive. Dude’s career was destroyed anyways.

Whatever, to get back to the point: yea, the dude in the video is a hypocrite. Most self-centred sermonizers are, especially the ones on TV. So actually a good portrayel of guys like him. But: I understood that at the beginning, what about some turning points?

But then..: done see enough wanna be LA Crash-meets-Memento movies. So I guess: good idea by the guy who did the video.

Oh, and then I learned the guy in the video is a portrayel of british talk show host Jeremy Kyle. So perhaps it’s just a funny diss video only islanders understand. Do a Kraut version with our dick suck rapist then! Story had some incredible turning points!

Right after this years Rattviksdansen Folklore Festival, most of the keys on Axwells board got lost in an equipment smashing session he did with Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso to warm up for the next show. He hit Sebastian in the head so hard, the whole Casio fell to pieces plus Sebastian lost two of his front teeth. Good news is, you dont need many teeth and keys to produce a hit. Seriously. A banger. Swedish House Mafia are the three dudes mentioned above and One is their first single. Eric Prydz left the group before. Mistake.

Dipset goes hardcore

Scheiße! (quoting Freaky Zekey). How could it take us so long to come up with this one. Couldnt sleep for two nights, asking us where we knew the sample of the new Dipset song from. A techno track.. but which one.. But it turned out to be even better.

It’s not just techno, it’s Gabber. Nosferatu, to be exact. Sometimes the answer is so close you don’t see it.

Sick! There was a time where we listened to Dipset tunes while everybody around us listened to Nosferatu and friends. Then time came we started using Gabber samples or even rapped on Gabber, still listening to Dipset tunes. The just for the fuck of it bootleg of that experiment made for an article in The Guardian and an illegal download on the biggest Gabber website. And some deaththreads by people who felt like we crazy for mixing those genres.

We developed our own sound with influences from Rap, House, Gabber, Dubstep, 90es techno and whatever else we found after that. And now: we hear Camron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones rapping on a Nosferatu sample, while Zekey gets his German on… Scheiße!

The original track, Nosferatus The Desolate One, samples Nas‘ Hate Me Now, by the way. You got to skip a minute and 30 or something to get the sample.

DJ Funkstar of Schakkerhart System wins DJ competition

Congrats! DJ Funkstar of Schakkerhart System won the DJ Knock Out contest in ‘t Beest, Netherlands. After being chosen by the grand jury, defeting the four other finalists, he’ll now perform at the Dancetour festival in Goes NL. Also performing are Afrojack , Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano , Shermanology, Jip DeLuxe and Ray Fox.

Other gigs will take him to Lloret de Mar (Spain), Greece, Italy and probably Sweden during the next weeks. So far the schedule reads:

Jul 7-24 Marmaris – Turkey / Kos – Greece

Outhere Records from Munich released an Kwaito compilation featuring Dj Mujava of Warp Records, Pastor Mbhobho, L’Vovo Derrango and others: Ayobaness – The Sound of South African House.

Guess you remember Township Funk. If you dont, listen to it! If you do, you’ll look forward to Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje on the compilation. Even more important, it’s not like Mujavas piece is the only one worth listening. The 13 chilled out tracks give you a little roundup of today south african house / Kwaito artists. Can’t tell you who they left out, which are the best Kwaito artists at the moment and so forth but I can tell you that this is something for my car, mobile & laptop.

Saying that the compilation has a chilled out vibe to it doesnt mean you cant dance to it. The title track by Pastor Mbhobho is perfect to pre-party before world cup matches. First games start on 13.30 and I had problems getting my beers down right after gettin up. until now! Ayoba!

The Lil Jon / Diplo collab rumoured since a year ago: the little dubstep club attacker called U Don’t Like Me.

The two producers talked about collaborating on Twitter last march, than put out videos like the one below and performed their collaboation live. Than some days ago Lil Jons album Crunk Rock hit stores, after years of label troubles, without the track. But here it is now:
