Pursuit of Happiness, produced by Ratatat and featuring MGMT is Kid Cudi‘s third single from the upcoming album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. Before only a radio rip was available. Hey, they still got radio in th states. So nineties.

As hipster as it gets. An alternative rock group, electronic producers and a rapper. All three musical elements in one song. Wait for the video with carrot cuts, funky glasses, ironic poses, homoeroticism and colourful colours. Vice magazine should be proud. The End of Day.

What is the rapping hipsters passion for space about anyways? Lil Wayne is a marsian, Kanye West ripped Daft Punks space stage to orchestrate hisself as the “greatest star of the universe” and Kid Cudi is the man on the moon. Escaping the world economic crisis on a pursuit of happiness?

Lets speak about the song. Somebody give the Kid a hug! I guess somebody did after Excuse my Mood. Sky wont fall once he got it. Sky, space and emotions all over. I just heard somebody say hipsters aint nothing but painted Emos. Proven right.

Sorry for sounding like a hater, the music is cool and Cudi is a cool dude. Its just that I realise I wrote three posts in a row about music I appreciate but will hardly listen to. Somebody get me to lala land, a place without having to work like a mule for small change, no aggressions that your speakers have to reflect, all about falling in love, being a cute kid and enyojing peacefull moonlight. Somebody give me a hug! Your boy’s gone emo! I guess I’ll be fine once I get it. I’ll be good.

Kid Cudi and Ratatat worked together for two songs ond Cudi‘s album and plan on releasing an album togehter.

Ive seen XRABIT + DMG$ in Juice magazine and on rcrdlbl.com so I finally had to check them out. I got griped out when I played it while we was chillin recently, but to me its kinda fresh. Just some harmless Hipster rap with electro beats. The last song in their album preview, with the dopy screw sound is really hot.

Please notice that there is more info under the big ass photo..

more music

Producer XRABIT is living in East London, being born in Munich. His rappin friends are based deep down in Texas.

Three (or something….) more describtions like that and I’ll stop dwelling on this “the movement is all over the globe” stuff. But right now, stuff like that is still funny to me and I guess everybody didnt get it yet. So, haha, Germany-England-Texas Hipster bullshit, its all over the world.

If you prefer being brainwashed to chit-chat you might wanna read the bio:

XRABIT + DMG$ are, respectively, a Berlin-born producer living in deepest Dalston, and two colourfully-clad, Andre 3000 worshipping Texan MCs. Killin Em is their debut 12 inch, and comes complete with speaker thrashing sonics and verbals that are literally mic-ripping. Along with a remix from XRABIT himself, which doffs its hat to bassline whilst standing proudly alone, it could not be a brasher klaxon call to the world. Welcome to the new new thing.
