if you listen to house or electro or electro house or something, you might know about diplo.
as i read in one interview, he’s pretty much about mixing house and hiphop. his sound speaks for his self though.

Diplo: Well I mean I kind of grew up on hip hop and Baltimore club was like the hip hop version of house music. So even the guys I work with like Switch are even more influenced by hip hop than me, because they were rappers before they were house producers. I’ve been producing a lot of hip hop though. I think for every house beat I’ve made, I’ve made probably four or five hip hop beats.

It’s all about combining the best of these little micro-genres of music though. I’m always up to do some hip hop beats. The PRGz, that’s a big hip hop project for me. Blaqstarr does a little hip hop. Rye Rye is on Interscope now. Locally, not so much in Philly, because there aren’t that many rappers left there. Wale, I did some beats for him. The track with Kid Sister actually has David Banner on it.

listening to juicy fruit from proton at the moment, they have some dope old school rap tracks next to electro experiments, swagger jackin the cool kids in some way. next to outkast and hipster godfather pharrell, who they took some rap styles from. difference to the kool kids is, proton are bringing nineties back. love it. ice cream beat by wu tang. just wetted my boogy. told ya nineties is coming back! which sample is inside my love by the way??? is she singin “do you wanna cum inside me” or am i just a day late with the current cum shot? after all, they have a bunch of funny remixes talkin bout fuckin and even akinyele on it^^ didnt hear that for years. it was all a dream – i used to read raveline magazine…

thatshiphop.com just reported that kanyes album 808s & heartbreak leaked to the net. still hes not worried about sales. let me give you the story and a preview plus which meaning it has for techrap and such. plus the last track that leaked, Anyways:

the album is now coming out on november 24th. i read a real cool pre listening report about it that forecasted 2 million albums old. i wouldnt bet against that. i even think kanye might out do lil wayne, if not regardin sales, than regardin his worldwide status. if hes not allready doin that. with his own version of electro rap (a lot of 808 drums and an 80ies electro type of sound) hes surely improtant for the topic of our blog. its the same with kanye in techrap than it was in rap, of course: hes too much of a metro to be on his side. thing is, in electro, being a half-gay nerd is the bst thang to be. so he done picked a good way to take his shit pop. i dont see him being played on every electro party, but i do see him being one of the biggest pop stars of our time.
kanye west ‘s singing on 808s & heartbreak, using goddamn auto-tune, using pop beats, still doing stuff every critic gon love. gay enough for europe – and he allready took the states, no robbie williams.
the topics on 808s & heartbreak gon be pretty impressing too i guess. i never liked kanyes swagger talk cause it sounded like a pimply geek bragging about being the better human. now he has some serious stuff to deal with – feel sorry for the geek but im sure he gon make some good pop music outta it. now, hes the superstar he allways wanted to be allways felt like being. on the verge on filling stadiums, like he announced. the most important thing in his life was his mother. he move with her to hollywood, shes famous now, too, decides to get her breasts made (you see my respect for the geek, i didnt say tits). sad part of the hollywood-worthy story: she dies during in that operation. so kanye feels like he reached what he wanted and killed his mums with that. 808s & heartbreak.

fucking elektro is everywhere, from scandinavia to kingston. and with some rap on it and can even be fuckin nice. toastin? yea works even better.

Terry Lynn is one of my favorite discoviries recently. great elektro dancehall straigt outta kingston. put her in my raveline column and the upcoming edition of hiphop.de videonews, where i started moderatin myself.
her albums called kingstonlogic 2.0 and features a nice mixture of conscious street topics and party stuff.
