The Lil Jon / Diplo collab rumoured since a year ago: the little dubstep club attacker called U Don’t Like Me.



The two producers talked about collaborating on Twitter last march, than put out videos like the one below and performed their collaboation live. Than some days ago Lil Jons album Crunk Rock hit stores, after years of label troubles, without the track. But here it is now:

Meanwhile Crunk Rock flopped pretty much. Planned as a crunk meets rock type of thing, Jon know descrbed it as a mixture of everything for eryone. Sounds boring but the tracklist reads like urban bass, which sounds more interesting. Didnt listen to it yet but Ill have to get it, wonder how good the DJ Chuckie collab is.

News from Diplos “we sign all the top cats” Überlabel Mad Decent. After signing Buraka Som Systema, J-Wow aka Joao from Buraka gives his solo debut on the label: “O Dedo”.

Video is done by The Genie and made up by scenes of a german documentary on the Wodaabe people (Herdsmen Of The Sun) from southern Sahara.

Piss a sun in the snow and stop crying. Finishing the post is Flores Remix to her own track “Feel Me“. Kuduro and Drum n Base influences with some wobble and a nice tension spanning part in the middle.

Its okay to watch the wrap ups of saturdays football matches on repeat when its sunday. Just found out trading the weak commentators for some music is still the better choice. Especially when you watch them games for the fourth time.

What I put on my playlist: first, Faithless are back. Its three years since there last album and much longer since I cared. Dont know what they did during the last years, but the new stuff aint bad. They put the new single „Sun To Me“ on the net, a housy party tune. Now Gui Borrato and Jerome ISA reworked the tune. Dark atmosphere house tunes, also club friendly. A third remix is coming from trance producer Alex Morph.

So house music is the thing for today. Bart B More remixed Crookers‘ „No Security“. Electro House with some left-ober Kelis lyrics from the original track. The next Kelis album is supposed to be produced by Will.I.Am and David Guetta by the way. Another one on that commercial urban bass trip. What else are you supposed to do if your milkshakes doesnt bring the boys to the yard anymore.

Snoop Doggs first take on Dubstep is out for a minute now but its just to much the topic of this blog not to mention it. I dont even find it as whack as them pals on chromekids.

Interesting enough that Dubstep reaches someone like Snoop. Not that he wasnt allways hip to the newest trends. He was Death Row-Snoop, No Limits Dirty South-Snoop, RnB-Snoop, Pimp-Snoop, Charming-Snoop, Pharrell-Snoop and still remained the same. Thats popstar qualities over there.

Now hes Dubstep-Snoop, a fact thats surprising me more than him just being Electro-Snoop now for example. Whatever, he smelled the “lets mash up some electronic music styles”-trend. Props for that, at least. And for choosing Dubstep over bambam party bounce electro.

The Flying Skulls are three guys from San Francisco and a damn good live act, if you believe the hype. I got the link to a dope live mix from them for you. We might not see them hitting hard on drum sets wearing oddball headwear this way, but you now where to find youtube, right?
