Major Lazers next single is “Pon De Floor”, the video was released today. Good choice, more appealing than the rooted “Cant stop now” thats playing on the radio (at least in Germany).
Id say they really go dumb with this one. I dont even know if I mean that in a hyphy kind of way or literally. I dont know neither if their moronic spoof dancehall moves smallen our chances of making it into any music generator, after we kicked the porn already (to the generator executives: JOKE!). I do know that this actually is a damn good video. Reminds me of this funky video with to old black folks gettin it on, that was banned by youtube. Anyone remember the name…..? Best thing about the dance stuff i it is that it aint as overdone as you may think. Thats just some funky daggering. If Major Lazer put some fast cheap bass under it it wont be long till Scooter daggers on the bandwagon. I read Jamaica even banned the dance because dudes broke their dingelings doing it (Spate of broken penises caused by dance style ‘daggering’). Tried it at some Großraumdisko. Makes you the star of the night. Believe it.
